As a Product Designer at Xplor Rec, I led design for the company's first white-label native mobile app for the parks & recreation industry. As the sole designer, I partnered cross-functionally to shape the end-to-end member experience, from browsing and booking to memberships, passes, and notifications, helping bring a new mobile product to market.

Designed natively for both iOS and Android to create a more intuitive mobile experience.

The app introduced a new way for community members to interact with recreation centers and services from their phones. Instead of relying on fragmented web flows or in-person processes, members could browse programs, manage accounts, and access facilities through a single native experience.

Core flows were designed to make program discovery and registration feel simple and connected.

Accessibility was a key consideration from the start, as the mobile app was designed to serve a wide range of community members. Designing natively allowed us to take advantage of built-in device accessibility controls and better support older users and others with varying needs.

A native-first approach allowed the app to support built-in device accessibility settings like Dynamic Type.

Because the product was built as a white-label app, the experience needed to scale across different municipalities and organizations while still feeling cohesive. I designed a flexible UI system that could support multiple branded implementations without losing usability, consistency, or product clarity.

The experience extended beyond the core app with the ability to coordinate program registration.

The launch marked a major product expansion for Xplor Rec, bringing a modern native mobile experience to a category that had traditionally lagged behind consumer app experiences. In its first year, the app reached 10K+ active users, launched across 6 municipalities, and was projected to generate $180K in ARR.
